LP gas detector
Re: LP gas detector
Call Dometic with the serial number of the fridge, and your VIN, and they will be able to tell you if yours need to have the recall done. They won't let me DIY, so I had to bring it to a RV service center. Dometic will have a list of centers if you give them your zipcode or your city.

Re: LP gas detector
Well I am embarrassed. After check with cousin he insisted he changed the LP monitor and not the CO detector. They were BOTH in the correct location. Guess my old mind saw them wrong. I am getting old. The CO detector was installed with butt connectors as chin said it would. It was dated Nov 18 2003. (Quite a good sized hole behind it above the closet. maybe room for a secret compartment)chin_k wrote: September 9th, 2019, 10:58 am Ditto what Astro said.
I wonder how did someone reversed the two detectors. Weird.
Again thanks for all the help.

Re: LP gas detector
You can tell if the recall was done by looking in the fridge compartment. The new square sheet metal on the right w/decal is the shield installed with the kit. If the flue doesn't have that shield you more than likely need the recall done.Astrodokk wrote: September 10th, 2019, 7:26 am Ok thank you both for that info.

Re: LP gas detector
I got the recall done and just for information, the original recall number is #063-76 and the time extension is #08E-032.
Mine is the Model RM-3663, product number 9211440-12, which needed the 3 way kit.
