The seller for the fan also accepts offers, but I was too inpatient to wait. Probably could buy it for 5 flat maybe.

Do you have the handle type latching screen door? If so then I guess we can say that the transition from the magnetic latching screen door to the "handle" latching type was sometime between 1999 and 2000. Always interesting to know these things.

Yes I have the handle. I believe someone tried to pull open the screen from the door and pulled it without "unlatching" it first, and it broke. I tried repairing it with superglue, hot glue, and a pen spring, but that type of plastic doesn't stay repaired very well, so I ordered a new one. If this one breaks, I may consider converting the door to magnetic latch. I had magnets on my Airstream motorhome screen door, and they worked well.

Well they both have plusses and minuses. I do like the magnets though.

By the way, just for the record, my fan hub says this (inside the dished side):

(The 6 part is a little hard to read but since it looks like a 6" fan that would make sense.)

Okay, just to follow up, the CW stands for clockwise. According to folks in the Amazon review, part number Ventmate #65484 is the clockwise version (65483 is counter-clockwise). If a person wants to get it on Amazon, I think it is this one ($5.50 with free Prime delivery, at the moment).

While we're on the topic:

1) This is the full screen replacement that fits in (if you want to re-locate the light and have more open area 0 this is not the stock screen with the big light bar in it). The key is that the little open circle where the crank handle comes through can be in different places. This one fit my stock bathroom light/vent.

It was around $16 on Amazon. Don't order it with anything else because they may just put it in the box with the screen
