You guys are great, thanks for the link to the manual, that helps a lot. At first I couldn’t find that switch, mine is on the dash but it doesn’t look like that, it doesn’t have labels or anything. I think a few things have been modified over the years. But now everything is working, even the water pump. I thought for sure I had a converter problem. By the way, mine doesn’t have the light or that other switch. What is the purpose of that, just to check if it’s charging?

The light would be used to show if the house battery was enabled.

A second switch is used to trigger a relay to tie the chassis (engine) and coach (house) batteries together.
In early years (up to 1991?) it was sometimes a simple toggle that could be left on so the alternator could charge the house battery. Along the way Ford added a second battery package which automatically handled the charging part. Still later, Chinook made their own version of that setup.
In later years (1992 on?) it was a momentary switch used only when the start battery needed a boost from the house battery.
As Bluego said, when Chinook started Concourse production again at the end of 1988, they often seemed to experiment with the electrical system up until 1997 with the final generation.

For example, my 1994 uses the stock Ford second battery relays to control both charging and house enable, but adds a Chinook relay for momentary boost. I also have a separate converter/charger and distribution box. The converter is always connected to the house battery.
Yet another 1994 owner can have a combination converter/distribution box, and use a custom relay to control house battery connection.
