My daughter just gave me all the necessary equipment for the Sirius set up. It works great as long as I am headed in a southerly direction but not good at all when I am headed north as the antenna is on the dash and therefore no reception.
I need to have the antenna on the roof but don't want to start drilling holes. Any ideas?

Re: Sirius XM
Have you tried to see if it'll work anywhere inside by moving the antenna around the length of the wire? I'm kind of surprised because when I had it on my Goldwing, it was in a closed trunk and I never had a problem. I was thinking you could put the antenna in the forward overhead cabinet and run the wire to where you have the unit sitting.

Re: Sirius XM
That was what I was hoping for but so far I haven't found the right spot. I'm headed uot now to try some more.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Re: Sirius XM
Well, I just hadn't tried hard enough as I attached the antenna forward of the A/C and it works very well.
Re: Sirius XM
I used to have the little Sirius block antenna placed on my car's dashboard and had not direction based issues the real problem was overhanging trees blocking the signal. Once I got out from under tree lined roads no problem.
