Furnace making noise

Post by fordo1922@gmail.com »

Hello,

Has anyone experienced the Suburban Furnace making a pulsing type sound. I have had my Chinook for 5 years and this noise just began a couple days ago. Wondering if it is the blower motor or dust build up on the fan? Any ideas would be great. Thank you

Have you checked to see if the two heater ports are fully open? One is under the table and the other is on the opposite side of the dinette bench facing the back of the passenger seat. They each have a louver that turns to direct the air flow with a knob in the middle that controls the opening and closing of the vent itself. These must be open to allow air to flow or the furnace will pulse and/or shut down due to lack of proper air flow. Also check behind passenger seat to make sure that the air intake vent is not restricted by anything stored there (we use that space to store a lantern and battery operated fan).
Hope this helps.
