I would try to find an aftermarket beefier shackle kit. Like someone else said, the factory shackles are preety cheezy and tend to break alot due to the weight.

Ok, thank you. How about the shackle mount? I’ll need those too it seems. Aftermarket there as well?

I would replace the MorRyde if one of they got sheared. Not the best, but I think it is better than Ford OEM rear setup. Unless if you go with some custom springs and other upgrade, since they will need to weld the mount back if you want to get rid of MorRyde.

Ah, welded. Ok, thanks. That helps. I did’t know if they were welded or bolted. I’e got the Baja GG kit on the way, but it’s still at least a month out. I was thinking about doing the MorRyde removal now to get it back in the road, and would need the shackles and mounts for that kit anyway. Some late model Chinook Glaciers came from Chinook with the Maxloader Springs system on the rear axels. I am not recommending this spring system. Just making members aware that Chinook used a different system than MorRyde on some Chinooks. For information just google "Maxloader Springs".

FatBuoy, I am not 100% sure if it is welded or riveted. I am pretty sure it is not bolted, however, since I remembered they had to grind it off with a cut off saw. Someone will need to confirm the attachment method to make me honest. Sorry.
