We are looking to buy this Chinook …
We ar also new to the forum and recently retired! YEA!
Does anyone have any information on the engine (V8 or V10, spark plug issues, rear end ratio, engine swap out) and any issues associated with this year. The coach has approximately 65,000 miles on it… no worries on coach upgrades as I am very handy and have a lot of experience with electrical and plumbing etc. We are looking to see what we might be getting into as far as the mechanical aspects of the chassis. The coach looks to be in excellent shape. Any thoughts and/or suggestions on what to look for and check would be greatly appreciated as we are going to look at this in the very very near future. Thanks guys and we appreciate this forum and all who contribute!

Unless I am mistaken, which has happened, I think the Ford Chinooks changed from the 460 V8 to V10 around 1997, as the 460 was discontinued in 1996.
