I have the tripp-lite 2000 W inverter. On the inverter there are three modes. Off auto/remote and Charge only. On the wall mounted remote there are two settings auto invert and line/charge only.
When I have the inverter set to Auto/ Remote, it doesn't matter if I have the remote in auto invert or line/charge only, the Inverter keeps works. I have tested it with my microwave. The microwave will run if the remote is turned to auto invert or if it is set to line/charge only.
The only way to fully keep the inverter from sending power is to turn it off or to charge only at the inverter. This is fairly inconvenient as you need to remove the floor from the wardrobe to access it.
I know the inverter can draw power even when not using 115v battery so I would like to find a way to be able to turn the inverter portion of it without having to do it from the main unit.
Do you think it is an issue with the remote control or would you think it would be the main unit.
Most of our rigs don't have inverters, but we do jave soke very smart electrical engineer types here. Just wanted to say welcome to the forum. It's nice having some "big rigs" (haha) here.
If we have a manual on the Tripp-Lite unit, it will be helpful. I do not have the fancy inverter since mine is a Concourse, so it is like a black box to me at this point.

Unplug the remote cable at the Inverter. Then try the Inverter in the three positions. If they all work, it is the remote that is at fault. If the Inverter does not work correctly in the three positions with the remote cable disconnected at the Inverter, it is the Inverter at fault. The remote can be purchased from Tripp Lite if found to be bad.
I did try unplugging the remote. I am having the same issues. it seems that there is an issue with the load sensing feature of the inverter. I will need to decide if I want to bite the bullet for a new inverter or go thru the hassle of getting into the main control oh the unit evertime i want to turn it on or off.
I am thinking of potentially upgrading to lithium down the road so I am leaning towards upgrading the inverter charger that can be programmed to work on lithium.
I am sorry but I do not understand. You said in your original post that the only way to stop the Invertor from Inverting was to turn it off or to set it to charge only at the inverter.

When the inverter is set to charge only at the unit, it will not power anything, only charge the batteries.
I have had zero issues with the inverter/charger charging my batteries. The issue I have is there is suppose to be a load sensing feature on the inverter that will keep the inverter from running where there is no a/c demand. These load sensing feature doesn’t seem to work. Everything else on the inverter/ charger is functional.
If you have not already done so, turn the Load Sensing Dial fully counter-clockwise.
Unplug shore power.
If the inverter is still on, you are correct that the Load Sensor is not working correctly.
Try to charge a telephone with an AC outlet to verify that the inverter is on.
You also said earlier that the inverter would run the Microwave when the inverter is set to charge only. Will it do that with no shore power?
If I have the the control on the main unit set to charge only than the unit works as advertised and that microwave will not run. I have done all this testing off of shore power. If I have the control on the main unit set to auto/remote and set the remote to line/charge only, the inverter remains running and the microwave will be on.
I have tried adjusting the load sensing dial. Should there be stops on this dial? I can turn it continuously clockwise and counter clockwise. I can get it turn to a spot where the inverter will cycle on and off in two second increments (two seconds off, two seconds on) but will not turn off completely. I am doing these test with all the A/C circuit breakers tripped, so there is no way the inverter could be sensing voltage.
With no shore power, all AC breakers turned on, Load Sensor fully Counter-clockwise, try to charge a cell phone with an AC outlet.
If the cell phone will charge and if the microwave comes on, I would think that the inverter is broken.
If the cell phone does not show charging and the microwave is not on, it appears that the inverter is working properly. That would indicate that the inverter is coming on briefly to check for an AC source, then turning back off if none is found.
As far as the remote is concerned. If the microwave is on with the remote set to charge only. And the microwave is off with the inverter set to charge only at the inverter, with the remote disconnected, the remote is broken.
