Looking for alternative suggestions for a replacement assisst handle for the back of my 2000 Chinook Concourse. Broke mine in half. Odds are I will not find a original to replace. Ant suggestions on a good plastic dealer that may have or aftermarket? Thanks Jesse F.

They are still readily available, and you can order it online. Many people replaced them, but the handle actually can be easily repaired if the engraved letters are still in good shape. The handle is made of acrylic, and it can be solvent-cemented with appropriate chemical. However, most people choose to order a new one online instead.

And use the search word "Illuminated assist handle 5500L" from the 5th page. There are other link, but you should be able to do the search yourself. Just be careful with fake website that collect your credit card number and sell it to scammers, so make sure it is a real business with a read address, and that you can call them, etc.

Thank you for the great info. I found one online that looks identical minus the engraving.
