overhead coach charging light

So I left the headlights on for my 2000 concourse. After I jump started the battery the overhead "charging coach batteries" will no longer work. Have I tripped a breaker somewhere?

You mean the "In use, charging" LED light? Does the switch still work,, and let you turn the LVD on and off? You may need to unscrew the four screws, and take a look and see if there is any loose wire inside. There are a few incidents where the wire came off, and may not related to your jump start.

There is a 15 A reset-able breaker that goes from the V-out tap of the LVD (green wire) to the switches, but it has not manual reset, so it should not be the problem. I would test the breaker to make sure it is letting the DC to pass thru when the LVD is on.

LVD stands for Low Voltage Disconnect and is the device behind your driver's seat that drives the In-Use/Charging light. It acts as a manual 12V battery disconnect when you set the switch to the "Store" position, but it also automatically disconnects the 12V devices when your battery voltage decreases to low voltage (normally 11.8V) in order to prevent your batteries from excessive discharge.

The real question is whether the light burned out or are the batteries really disconnected. Do your 12V devices (ceiling lights, TV, etc) work? If so, then the batteries are switched in and the indicator is faulty. If your 12V devices don't work, then something else may have broken, like the LVD or the auto-resetting breakers Chin mentioned.

Thank you for the explanation; I have now replaced the auto resetting breakers and everything is working again..

I am surprised that it need to be replaced. It protected from the elements and all. There are two more under the frame right by the battery tray, and you may want to put a pair of goggles on, and take the white plastic box apart and see if you want to replace those. I guess most people are lazy, and only look into when things goes wrong, by I think you are the more proactive type.

I agree with Chin_k re: checking the resetting breakers under the coach. I checked mine while trying to track down a charging issue with my house batteries. Altho. it turned out they were not the source of my issue, they were so badly corroded it would have only been a matter of time before they caused a problem. So I replaced them. Easily available, cheap and easy to replace. Preventative maintenance is always a good thing.

OK, now that make more sense. The one goes from the LVD to the overhead switches was the one that I discussed earlier, and I misunderstood that you replace that 15A breaker, since it is pretty well protected being right next to the LVD on the interior of the coach. Replacing the *other* breakers under the coach, which is what you did, is probably the better thing to do.
