External water connection...

Post by ngpsaki »

What is the purpose of this water connection at the left rear of my Concourse XL?

The plastic cap won't stay seated over the opening. Any suggestions about how to replace it?

That is the hose connection for the black water tank spray washers. When emptying your tank you can hook a hose to this fitting and rinse out the tank. Should be fairly easy to find a cap at Walmart if the current one is worn.

Thanks, I suspected by the location it had something to do with the black water flush, but couldn't get further info on it.

Here is a cheap but good replacement plug:

If that plug wasn't sealing very well, like mine, the line may have sediment in it. When I connected a hose to it, some water came out of the open dump valve, but a lot of water sprayed out of the line opening as well, indicating a clog. There's a thread around here that shows how an owner fixed that.
