Saw a twin to mine only 6 miles from home!!!

A few people pay a lot of money and spend a lot of effort to make their rig rumbles like a Harvey Davidson, and spill black smoke like a steam locomotive.

I have no plans to install it on mine and I have a stepson that toys with chips, exhaust and conversions on his oversize pickups, diesel and gas. I believe he has learned his lesson and stays away from it. His present truck , a diesel, had it installed prior to him purchasing it and it caused all kinds of problems and finally blew his engine up!! It had some kind of warranty because he purchased it at a dealer but would have been a $12,000 boo boo!! I like mine quiet also and honestly my land shark has plenty of passing power when needed. If I want loud I'll drive one of my 60s and 70s muscle cars I restore!! Hah!! The twin to mine is very nice though if anyone is interested. In my opinion I believe a person could get it for $20,000.

Banks power additions were what were used to help Chinook break the motorhome speed record at Salt Lake Flats back in '98.
Air, headers, exhaust.
Unfortunately they had it tuned for sea level, and only was officially clocked at 99.7 mph. It later ran unofficially at 113 mph.
People who have that option installed say it's a bit louder, but the huge advantage is that their Chinook no longer slows down on hills. To me, that'd be fantastic.

Hi Flame,
Yes, if you could find out that would be great. I have a lakehouse in Fairmount just off Hwy 87 about 12 miles or so South of Hemphill. Where are you located ?
