After moving to Seattle a couple of years ago, I considered getting a midsize cruiser, maybe 25' long. Almost took the boating class but had to cancel. Still haven't done the class, but I've been to some boat shows. Very beautiful designs.
Someone in Cal who had been interested in my 30' Airstream has a 40 footer up here, and his family go out further than I care to.
I think I would prefer staying in the lakes and small channels rather than sea going.
My friend Ron had a speedboat in San Francisco bay that he would take out for the day.
I got seasick the last time I went out on a seep sea fishing expedition. The Captain's dog's name was Ralph...
Anyway, now that I think about it, I really love my current "land yacht".

We had a 36' Foretravel diesel pusher. We downsized to the Chinook Glacier. The Glacier has the luxury and construction of the Foretravel, but not the room and ride comfort. The Glacier is a lot easier and less expensive to service. We really like the Glacier and have no regrets about the switch from Class A to Class C/B+. The only thing we miss is the bedroom.

I've spent some time in - but not owned - a few different class C campers, and an old class A bus. To my mind, the biggest advantage of the As is the outdoor storage - those big side-to-side storage compartments that could fit tools, recreational equipment, regular size grills, almost anything.
The 40-foot Bluebird (class A bus) was awesome for full-timing, as it was rock solid and had all the bells and whistles (marble floors! cast iron sink! party lights!). It also had big windows on both sides of the "living room" so you didn't feel closed in.
On the other hand, it was rock solid and, by the our back-of-the-envelope estimate, cost about $1/mile to move when diesel prices were sky high. And it was hard getting furniture, etc in and out, because it all had to go through the door, up the steps, and around a tight corner.

I was getting 10-11 mpg with the v10 gas. I read modern class A's get 8-9mpg. Diesel costs more then gas here (I don't understand why.. I'm told it is significantly less work to refine diesel.. I guess it's a supply and demand thing)
A catamaran sailboat is "free" to move (haha.. yea right). I have to stay east of the Mississippi for my new job.. so no pacific ocean in my near future.
I'll just stay with family part time while I figure out this next phase of life. To new adventures! cheers.. hahaha

I heard people live in their Prius's. You'll figure it out. I wish I had known about your 4x4 Chinook before you sold it.

Students and homeless people here use Prius. Not the dirt-poor homeless, but wealthy enough to get a Prius, but not for paying rent. It is mostly just a place to sleep and store your clothing. Some places have restriction on RV parking, so a regular passenger car is easier to hide. I head homelessness is a problem in Seattle and many other areas.

I wish people wouldn’t have kept trying to steal mine from the storage facility. I wouldn’t have sold it. Such is life though.
