Just be aware they did not pull the shipping stunt until after trailready had the bumper completed and ready to ship. Meaning you will pay for your bumper when you order it as normal, then once its completed is when bumpersuperstore called attempting to renig on the free shipping claiming they had no idea it was going to cost $300 to ship. Also "most important" the trailready bumpers have certain options that are not listed on bumpersuperstores site so you may wish to call trailready before you order to confirm what you want. For instance, if you do not tell them you want a door on the bumper for a winch, it will show up with a great big hole in the top of the bumper because the door is an extra $50 option and bumpersuperstore does not list it. Then as extra assurance, call them again after the order is placed to verify that everything you wanted is in fact on the order sheet to be built.

Thanks, I'll talk to Trailready to get what I want, as light options confuse me, then when ready if b-superstore has best deal make sure they get order correct.

I went with PIAA lights. If you look at my pictures you will see the smaller outside lights appear blueish, those are actual xeon foglights and they do work. They turn fog into daylight so you cant go wrong with them if you travel. I was going thru new mexico couple years back and it was so foggy i couldnt see 5 feet and had to pull into a small town and stop for the night because it just wasnt safe. Thats when i decided i was scrapping the factory bumper and i was loading the Chinook up with enough light power to illuminate New York city. If you get one you will be surprised, its heavier than aluminum but it isnt that heavy. I installed it in the driveway by myself an hour after it was delivered.

Doug, looks great, also did you go with Warn or Smitty Build winch? Due to cost and infreguency of use I am leaning towards Smitty. Did you notice any driving difference with bumper and winch installed?

Are the Trailready taller than stock bumper, how much lower than the stock bumper does the Trailready go? I a, thiking about entrance angle effect.

I didnt measure the bumper but im sure its slightly taller than the factory bumper to accomodate the winch, its not any distance thats going to present problems. I bought my winch in Denver, Colorado at 4 wheel parts and i ended up with a Smittybuilt wireless because they did not have a Warn with a large enough capacity. This winch is 17,500 pounds capacity, the trailready bumper is rated for 16.500 lbs, but all you need to tell them is the measurements for your winch base mounting holes. Be aware if you plan to use an aftermarket bumper the large capacity winches have wider bolt hole spacing for mounting the winch so you need to let the bumper manufacturer know what winch you plan to use with the bumper so it can be built accordingly, or you could just tell them to drill the bumper for both sizes of winches. They say your winch should be almost double the weight you plan to winch but im no expert on winches so i got the largest winch they had. With any luck it will never get used and just be a novelty item for people to gawk at. By the way my old hood bra is a LeBra or however its spelled. No the bumper did not affect how the truck handles or drives in the least. I use a wide angle fish eye style lens on my camera for object photos up close so i dont get a bunch of unwanted landscape and extras in the image so sometimes things can appear misleading.
