Entry door indicator light

Post by Dianapotting7 »

I recently purchased a 2001 Chinook Destiny XL. I have received many good tips to help me fix problems on this forum. I have just a few things left to repair and am asking for help. The indicated panel in the cab always says that the entry door is open even when it is closed and locked. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Your comments will be greatly appreciated.

I don't have the Destiny, so be warned. Did you check the switch by the door that tells the controller that the door is open/close? Maybe it is worn out and need to be replaced, or the wiring is open circuit.

Thank you for the reply. Do you know were the door mechanism is located?

There is usually a spring loaded push button somewhere in the doorframe that gets pushed when the door is closed.
