recessed toilet paper holder question

Post by sm350bl »

In my odyssey of combing through the rig before I venture to Montana, I noticed when I was looking over things in the bathroom I have the recessed Tp holder with the roll cover to keep it from getting wet but the telescoping rod that goes through the paper roll is MIA. Is that a special piece specific to that style of Tp holder? I see gears in there so I am not sure if a specific tube needs to be in there for it to work properly? Or will any tube do?

The rod is special, and when you open the lid, it rotates the rod so that the toilet paper will roll out for your convenience. That is, if you are one of the "over" folks, and it will drive you nuts if you are the "under" folks.

These holder are a bit pricey, and I don't remember ever see one with the rod sold separately. Maybe the previous owner was a "under" person, and throw the rod away to keep her sanity.... or is it sanitary?
