That is a postcard shot right there! Looking good.

What have you done to the rear suspension to keep it from sagging??

I had Weldtec in San Diego remove the old Morryde, 4" blocks, and stock leaf systems and add new custom leaf springs per my weight (no blocks). Best money I've spent so far. Towing, steering, and even the ride improved dramatically.

On a side note, no cutthroat, just a few small rainbows and brookies.

I have seen some of his vids and I just re-watched the one where he did yours. Now I am more intrigued by your positive experience. Does that rear shackle on the drivers side ever lever over enough to bump the black water tank? I just tried to breath new life into my rear suspension by replacing the rubber insulators and going to the highest setting and I almost got it back level, just shy. If I decide I need to revisit the rear now I will have to give more thought to weldtec as an option. Did the cost hurt or not too bad? Nice pics of your outing, that looks like a blast.

Took a look at the rear shackle. I've been pretty hard on this since it was installed and it has not touched the black tank as far as I can tell. Picture attached.

I'm trying to remember the cost of everything. I believe the 8, 000lb springs cost about 1500 bucks. I think the additional parts and labor were another $2,000?. I remember Weldtec telling me it would take them no longer than 4 hours to install the system. In all actuality, it took two guys 8 hours to install it. I remember the driver side taking twice as long to install. I'm guessing, and this is only a guess, that they have the procedure down now and it would take them half the time to do it.

That is great to know. Thanks for the pic! Yeah changing out the leaf springs normally wouldn't be that bad but if I remember right the drivers side spring eyelet bolt got captured by the outside belly storage space. Not a deal breaker but would need to use a hole saw to make a big enough opening for the bolt to slide through, after I saw that I didn't pay much attention to the passenger side so if there is something worst over there then maybe its good I didn't see it  Thanks again for all the info and your feedback on your experience.
