Hope everyone is well here. I wonder though, how (if at all) has the nuveo corona virus affected motorhome owners. Personally, I think it would he a relief to go boondock away from crowds for a few weeks.. maybe months.

Agreed, I work so can't do it but what better way to spend a few weeks or months when it is peaking in US than to be boonedocking in remote areas.

unless you are sharing the close quarter with a walking Petri dish, it is a great way to avoid getting sick. The only things that I can think of are those huge motorhome conventions. It may not be a good thing to go to these convention and start touching items that has been touched by dozens of other people and walk past each other in tight spaces.

Not having to share personal items like bed and bathroom is a great thing compare to hotel and cruise ship. I know exactly who sleep in the bed, and who touched the table and shower and the toilet.

Kind of griping us. We like to travel to casinos. And of all things slot machines!! Thousands and thousands of hands are placed on those buttons every day!! We have not gone in 3 weeks. Think we will camp out and fish on the weekends for awhile!!

oh yea, I hadn't thought about casino's. I guess you could purele the hot spots, but they would probably frown on yoy sparying the whole machine with lysol haha.
I haven't been to the movie theater in a while (nothing I really wanted to see anyway).

Keyboards (computer, atm's, phones, touch screens), door handles, and shopping carts are some of the filthiest things people come in contact with. Anywhere you can get away from those items is good imho. Hospitals and medical clinics are Petri dishes where I never read a magazine, touch a self check screen, or touch the arms on a chair. I also try to open every door I can with a bump. Unfortunately I am in a high risk group, required to have routine blood draws, and was diagnosed with heart failure last October. Being from Washington I am not panicking at this point. I have been in the Hospital when the first case in the US was identified at in.

All that said boondocking sure sounds like a nice thing to do for a few months! :D

File this under "Glad to have a RIG for travel during the Coronavirus Pandemic!"
Our daughter is due to have a baby girl at the end of the month out in Colorado. We live in Boston, so decided to rent a place near them for the month of April--close enough without being under-foot. Originally we were going to fly out, but now we have decided that the best thing would be for us to take a "self-isolating" trip out in our Rig. We travel regularly for 6 wks at a time, so this will be a piece of cake. We are taking enough food for a week to avoid restaurants, will stay in State Parks (if any are open)...otherwise, Walmarts or RV places.
We know a ton of people who have had to cancel plans...so we are feeling particularly lucky...and doubly glad to have our beloved Turtle!
Stay safe everyone.
David

There are reports of more people going out on a RV due to the COVID-19 issue. Great to have the flexibility, isn't it?

Great point, Steve. And as road travelers, lets add gas pumps to your list of filthy things.

I just try to reduce how often I pick my nose.

The latest use we have found for our Chinook is a mobile dining room during the Corona virus restaurant shutdowns. There are a couple of local restaurants we are supporting by ordering meals to go and then dining in their parking lots so the meals are eaten at the peak of freshness. A win-win, helps a local small business and keeps us well fed!

My second favorite alternate use besides a lumber truck.
