2005 Chinook Concourse

Post by JabberBox »

I am considering selling my 05 Chinook Concourse.
I was in the process of converting it to a 4x4 and completed installing the entire front dana 60 front axle and was ready to start swapping in taller rear
leaf springs when i became ill, not with covid. At this point my health isnt going to allow me to finish this project so im considering letting the rig go to someone who has the time and health to finish it. It is still 100% drivable, the interior needs a remodel.

It has Toyota Sienna leather 6 way electric seats, V-10, 4R100 transmission, Spyntec freespin lockout hub kit, 2021 Dodge Ram wheels on front, 2005 Dana 60 front axle with 4:10 gears,
new coil springs, new shocks, new tie rods, new steering box, new sway bar and bushings, timberline vans 4x4 kit, new drag link, kelderman steering stabilizer kit, new brake lines, new brake pads, new calipers, new 17" BFG KO2 front tires, New 16" BFG KO2 tires on rear, Rayco/granning rear air suspension, new heater blower motor, new window regulators, 2013 front fenders, 2013 grill, 2013 hood, 2013 headlights, newer Dometic Penguin 2 roof AC, newer Onan 4k generator, 200 watts renogy solar system, 17,000 LB front winch, multiple off road lights, Offroad front bumper, front bushwacker fender flares, etc..... I also have all of the old parts such as hood, fenders, velvac heated mirrors, etc... if someone doesnt like the newer style fenders and headlights. I also have the matching rear 2021 Dodge Ram 17" dually wheels for the rear. Timberline vans is currently working on adapters to put these wheels on the rear axle.

This truck got a new fuel tank and fuel pump three summers ago at a cost of $3500. The vehicle has approximately 99,000 miles.

I feel that an asking price of $38,000 is fair for this project.

Although the truck is still completely drivable at this point in order to finish the 4x4 swap you will need to install a transfer case and shifter and a front driveshaft.

My health is the only reason i am even considering selling this vehicle, i have been in the emergency room four times now and have multiple on going specialist appointments as well as having been placed on blood pressure meds. Finishing the rig is not an option for me now or in the future. I am not interested in shipping, i am not interested in personal checks, or any other fraud scheme.

The truck is located in Lincoln, Nebraska 68504. You can contact me on this post or email me at jabberbox@protonmail.com

My asking price is firm and not subject to negotiation. I have easily put $8000 just putting the 4x4 axle under the front of this truck, $3000 for the onan 4k generator with another $1000 to have it installed. $2500 dollars on 2021 Dodge ram 4x4 wheels. $2500 dollars for the spyntec freespin kit, new tires etc....

Sorry to hear that you have to part with the project due to your health. Wish you recover from the setback, and enjoy a more health life. Good luck with the sale of the rig.

Thanks, i ended up in the ER in October, they left me sit for 10 hours in the emergency room knowing my blood pressure was off the charts.
After ten hours they finally decided i had high blood pressure and gave me medicine to lower it. Now i have symptoms that arent going away and never existed prior to. Now i have multiple appointments with specialists dating clear into next march not counting the half dozen i have already visited in attempts to find out whats going on and fix it.

I may end up getting an attorney before its over. Theres no excuse for leaving a person lay in an emergency room knowing full well his blood pressure is sky high and doing nothing to address it for 10 hours. That is gross negligence and its my opinion that i very well had a mini stroke which has caused these on going symptoms.

So sorry to hear that you are going through this. I wish you the best.

I would put ad on expeditionportal.com, the community there likes Chinooks and a lot of folks there won't be scared off finishing the 4x4 and will be able to pick up where you left off.
