Re: Bike Hitch Rack

I agree about the Access vs. the Yakima (back swing?). Thule looks to be better made and specialist at REI agreed with that.

Re: Bike Hitch Rack

I'm putting together a system to carry an electric fat tire bike on the back of my '99 Concourse. I'm posting it here for review. If anyone sees a problem after reading this please feel free to advise. Constraints: 1. The bike (probably a RadRover) likely needs to be covered when driving (verifying ...

How to upgrade solar panel wiring

I realize this question may have already been answered but my searches have only shown related information. So apologies in advance if I missed it. I'm going to add solar capacity gradually. My first goal is to replace the existing Siemans panel with a higher wattage one. Right now I'm thinking the ...

Re: Extended valve stems for DRW (dual rear wheel) rigs.

I think I found a shop that can help me with turning the Borg valve stems to orient the right way. I thought about doing it myself but I just have a small hydraulic jack and I can get the outer wheel off with a lot of effort but the inners would be tough. And tough on my back. :(

Re: Extended valve stems for DRW (dual rear wheel) rigs.

I agree - 3/4" seems like overkill. I went back and looked the instructions and they recommend 3/4 - 1". I had to order some replacement jam nuts and they just got here so after I get the rust off the lugs I'll give it a go. Thanks Blue.

Re: Extended valve stems for DRW (dual rear wheel) rigs.

Mine all fit just fine. One of them might have taken a very slight (millimeters) bit of Dremeling on the back lip, I can't remember now if that was me or someone else (been a few years). On the other hand, when a buddy of mine had them put on (at Discount Tire no less), they apparently were not abl...

Re: Extended valve stems for DRW (dual rear wheel) rigs.

I know this is an older thread... I recently replaced my tires and at the same time had the Borg/Duallyvalve valve stems installed. I used Discount Tire which has been great for my cars but they were at a loss with the Chinook. One result is that my wheel simulators are now on the floor instead of a...

Re: Brand spanking new to the RV world-water connection ques

Drain the pump. Hi Blue, others Have a question about draining the water pump. This is my first winter owning the Concourse and I'm winterizing the supply side using the compressor I just bought. So far so good I think. Went around doing each faucet at a time until no more water, drove around some ...
