Re: Help Needed: Spare Tire Mount Bracket
Sorry, I don't have any pics/documentation. However, when our spare tire holder cracked and was fixing to fall off during a trip in eastern Colorado, I was somewhat panicked. It was 3PM on a Friday in a very small town. I could only think of calling car repair places or body shops. They pointed me t...

Re: Cummins Generator Maint.
Mechanic said I am good to go for next 20+ years...When I started it up I couldn't believe how easy and smooth it started and it never ran as smooth and quiet since I bought it. Amazing difference. Not cheap but well worth it. A lot cheaper than a new generator though, amirite? Our generator is 27 ...

Re: Battery separator for lithiums
I upgraded the batteries on our 95 Premier from AGMs to Lithium Iron Phosphates this last winter. In the Premiers, the original house battery is in the engine compartment, but I'd added a second bank under the jack knife couch years ago. Re: How many miles do you have on your engine?
1995 Premier w/V8. Got it with 20K miles, up to 75K now on the engine. Nothing but regular oil/filter changes so far. From reading this thread (and the fact I've put 55K miles on the engine), I'm thinking of taking this to a Ford dealership to get the plugs changed and whatever else an old E350 need...

Re: Inherited a Chinook Needs to be Refurbished
We bought a 95' with 20K miles five years ago. The exterior was faded and is even more beat up looking now. That being said, it's cosmetic and we've logged 55000 wonderful miles so far. Am also interested in any inexpensive exterior spruce up advice.

Re: HEATING THE INTERIOR DURING THE WINTER
Don't do much winter camping so we blow out the water lines and plug in. We have camped in freezing conditions a few times and I've been impressed with the LP' heat, keep the thermostat in the low 60s. We have a vinyl exterior cover for the windshield -- I think that helps.

Re: Name your top three rides in your Chinook
1. Newfoundland, mostly western area, especially around Gros Morne NP. 2. The road up from Banff to Jasper NP others have mentioned 3. Highway 380 in NM, west of Roswell through Lincoln (Capitan Mnts) coming home after a long trip two days ago. Mountain goats, antelope, mule deer and sheep, beautifu...
